This weeks wash day had to happen a day late due to me having to take down all those damn two strand twists I put in earlier in the week. Spent all of Friday night taking them down and detangling. I learned never to do that again,
1. because I have way too much hair and it makes a million that aint nobody got time to be taking down, and 2. I get bored with it super fast, and 3. simply because AIN’T NOBODY GOT TIME TO BE TAKING THEM ALL DOWN .
For this weeks wash day I decided to do a hot oil treatment.
I used whatever oils were in reaching distance. No measuring, ain’t nobody got time fo dat either.
I used coconut oil, avocado oil, olive oil, grape seed oil, vitamin e oil, and east african shea butter.
I melted down the coconut and shea butter by putting it in the microwave for 30 seconds.
I went to go get a shirt I didn’t care about anymore, and a towel since I already knew this could get messy.
Fact: This used to be my FAVORITE shirt in highschool lol.
Applied oil all over my ends and scalp, did a slight massage, then applied heat for 15minutes and let sit for like an hour. Washed out and was left with super shiny, extra soft hair .
Now to let air dry and put in a bun for now I guess.
