I started my natural hair/transitioning blog back in February to document my journey from bland chemically damaged, over processed straight hair, to healthy thick, luscious,voluminous curls. I wasn’t looking to gain attention or anything, I was just looking for a place where I could keep track of my routine and regimen. I got the name for my site by looking at my name and last initial and noticed “Asia M” spelled out “As I Am” & At the time, I was going through a point in my life where I wanted to find out who I really was and just be myself. So I took that as a universal sign to be As I Am and stop straightening my hair and start accepting my natural curls. Over these few months, I have gotten the privilege of getting to meet and talk to some wonderful bloggers who share my enthusiasm on the subject. I am so grateful for the amount of support and love I’ve received on this site and I can only hope it continues. I’d like to thank everyone of my readers and all who actively participate on my site and in my hair journey. This site has not only become a place for me to tell my hairstory, but also a platform into helping other women grow long healthy hair naturally too.

1. I love animals and babies, I have the softest spot in my heart for either. 2. I am afraid of sloths, heights, and any kind of bugs. Seriously put me in any situation involving any of the three and you will see a completely rational person turn into a manic cry baby. 3. I hate ketchup. The smell more so the taste. 4. I am a libra, so I’m very indecisive and I tend to over share lol. 5. I have a sister named India, two cousins named China and one named Malaysia. Smh, I know.
6. My favorite cartoons are FlapJack, Regular Show, Chowder, Adventure Time, and Shin Chan. 7. Huge Anime Fan, Hayao Miyazaki, is a GOD. I love all of his animated movies. (Spirited Away, Howls Moving Castle, Totoro etc.)
