Hey everyone! It’s been a little while since my last post, my apologies. I’ve been crazy busy since school has started again. Ugh.
Today after two weeks of flat ironed hair I DESPERATLEY needed to do a deep conditioning. I have been majorly slacking in the DC department so I made my super awesome avocado and honey DC mask. I threw in some silk amino acids for some extra help with the dryness.
I need to go back to some twists or something soon because I’m not liking all the breakage/shedding I am seeing while its down. So to also help with that, I am doing a black tea rinse after I wash. Black Tea works wonders for hair, it helps with shedding and breakage and also makes my hair feel super soft. I must be sure to condition after doing a black tea rinse because if I don’t it sometimes has the opposite effect, my hair will feel really stiff and hard.
Black Tea For Hair
” Benefits of Black Tea for Hair
♨ known to reduce shedding and breakage
♨ contains more caffeine than a cup of coffee, which caffeine inhibits DHT (the hormone that is responsible for hair loss)
♨ can potentially darken the hair or enhance your natural highlights
♨ can add shine, luster and softness to the hair
♨ can increase the thickness of your hair “
The Process.
I did the usual separating and detangling, added all the ingredients in a bowl and grabbed my hand mixer. Out of fear and experience with this thing splashing junk everywhere I decided to just put the entire bowl in a bag and mix while it was in there. This helped a lot. Didn’t have the usual green specks all over the place.
As you can see I blended all the chunks into a smooth creamy paste.
I started with the back and applied it until everything had been thoroughly slathered lol.
After, I put on a processing cap and a slouchy hat to add heat. I’m currently letting this bad boy sit as I type, I think it’s been about two hours so I’m well over due to wash this stuff out.

that’s what I’m going to do. I think I’ll hit the shower now.
